Introduction - Meet Foy (aka me)
"The color violet relates to the fantasy world, and a need to escape from the practicalities of life. It is the daydreamer escaping from reality."
-Google
Yes. I took that from google.
Hello! Call me Foy. I'm the person behind the 'Violet Pages' blog.
'Foy' is a made up name I made for this blog specifically. It doesn't mean anything special, just a weird name that means absolutely nothing (unless it does have a meaning-- if there is one, do tell!).
The name "Violet Pages' however, does. It's easily explained by the quote from google you read earlier. It's how I feel while reading, or in some cases writing, books. I'm sure most of you bookworms know the feeling. Ah! The bliss!
There's also another explanation to the meaning of the color violet (as I not-so-shamefully google the meaning of colors) that caught my attention.
"Violet encourages creative pursuits and seeks inspiration and originality through its creative endeavors. It likes to be unique, individual and independent, not one of the crowd. Artists, musicians, writers, poets and psychics are all inspired by violet and its magic and mystery."
- (again) Google
I'm not sure if I'm inspired by the color violet (or just colors itself). Maybe they meant the flower? If so, I'm not inspired by that either. I'm inspired by people. By amazing writers like Garth Nix and Liz Kessler. By musicians like Suga from BTS. By actors like Lin Manuel-Miranda and George Salazar.I thrive to be like them someday and inspire other people too.
I don't want to make this too long for you guys, so I'll stop here.
Enjoy reading my stories~
Make sure to follow and comment and watch me grow (not literally).
Much love,
Foy
